Terms of Service

Effective date: August 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Archie — the AI receptionist service operated at archieanswers.com (“Archie,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Archie provides AI-powered phone answering, SMS conversation, lead capture, appointment booking, and related communication tools for businesses. The service uses artificial intelligence; responses are generated automatically and, while designed to be accurate to the business information you provide, may occasionally be imperfect. You are responsible for reviewing the business information Archie uses on your behalf.

2. Your account and your customers

3. Telephone numbers and messaging

Phone numbers provisioned through Archie are leased for your use while your subscription is active. Carrier rules (including A2P 10DLC registration in the US) apply to SMS sending; delivery is subject to carrier filtering outside our control. STOP/opt-out requests are honored automatically and permanently.

4. Billing

Paid plans bill monthly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). Free trials do not require a payment method, and you are never charged without adding one — we ask for payment details before your trial ends, and if you don't add them the account simply pauses. Plan limits (such as included voice minutes) are described at purchase. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period.

5. Call recording and transcripts

Where enabled, calls may be recorded and transcribed to provide the service. You are responsible for enabling recording only where lawful in your jurisdiction and for any required disclosures to callers. Archie's default greeting can include a recording disclosure.

6. Intellectual property

We own the service and its software. You own your business data — your customer conversations, leads, and bookings. You grant us the license needed to process that data to operate the service.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed calls, missed bookings, or carrier message filtering.

8. Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create legal or carrier-compliance risk. On termination, provisioned phone numbers may be released after a reasonable grace period.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified via the service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
